Glass has become my passion, or is that obsession? Living in a rural community in the center of North Dakota, I stumbled across lampworking when my youngest daughter got into beads. My natural curiousity was aroused, and I started on the hunt to answer the question, "How did they do that?" Thankfully, I am married to a man who supports my creativity, and he helped me set up my first "studio" in our basement. It didn't take long to find out that melting glass in a flame gives me pure joy and satisfaction. We have since moved the studio, and it continues to be a work in progress, but I love it. I am totally self-taught, but there are some generous lampworkers out there that have shared their knowledge through tutorials and forums such as Wet Canvas. I am finally at a point in melting glass that I think I am "good" enough to sell some of the beads, and with some gentle pushing from my family, this website was born.
